Visitation is an interactive installation created for a festival at Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio in Japan. We invited visitors to sit across from each other at two disorienting communication portals: one based on the conversation windows for visitors to Alcatraz prison (below at right), and the other based on manhole covers in Sapporo.
